My name is Shirley Mason I have been a coop member for over 30 years. I have served voluntarily as both Chair and Secretary of the management committee at Victoria Tenants Cooperative for two years.  Due to my full time work it has given me the opportunity to provide leadership and administration support.  This has been instrumental in maintaining transparency, resolving tenant complaints and conducting interviews for prospective members. My attributes are professionalism, fairness and commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive housing community.

I believe that safe, affordable housing is not just a necessity, it’s a foundation for dignity and opportunity; working together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community.

My name is Maria Witten (Asiya) I have been a member of the coop for just over 12 months and recently got elected to the management committee for VTC.

I am a qualified family community worker and over the years I have worked both paid and voluntary for Sure Start children's centres, Prison, and schools (helping children attain better reading levels when English is not their first language).

I have worked with The Challenge UK for teenagers and women who have experienced domestic violence, which at the core of who I am as a person is someone who enjoys helping others, trying to build communities that care for where they live and each other is something that i am passionate about.

I am looking forward to this new role and using the skills to help VTC!

My name is Imtiaz Ahmed, and I have been a committee member for just over 18 months. I am the currently the Secretary of Victoria Co-op and staff representative.

I am driven in what I do and always strive to help others, both within the Co-op and in the wider community. I like to keep our housing community together so we can work closer on becoming a co-op family, working together and keeping our community clean and safe for our future generations to come.

My name is David Moyna and I’ve been a member of the management committee for two years.  I worked in the homeless sector for almost 30 years, and I enjoy helping people if I can, and resolve any problems they may be facing.  Most of them got resettled into their own properties and hopefully we can all do the same at Victoria, by helping accommodate those in need of housing.

My name is Bernie and I have been a member of Victoria Tenants Cooperative for over 25 years.  I am part of VTC‘s repairs committee. My background is teaching violence autistic teenagers. I worked closely with families and carers. I am passionate about supporting people in our community, as a committee member I will strive for the same thing which is a safe clean and inclusive community.

My name is Hanane, I have been a member of the coop for nearly three years and, I am currently on the management committee, and my role is lettings officer. 

I have a bubbly personality, I’m cheerful and empathetic. My experience in the caring sector and having a good rapour with children and teenagers I believe helped me lot in my career.  I am bilingual and my care for the needs of others and the community, I believe contributes to the coop and the role of lettings officer.

My name is Jenny,  I have been a member of the coop for over 10 years and elected treasurer for over five years I love the outdoors and enjoy bike riding, heritage trail walks.

My name is Tom, I have been a member of the coop for over 10 years and had various roles on the management committee, I am currently elected as the MRC (member responsible for complaints) for the coop.  I enjoy the outdoors and when I get the opportunity I go hiking.  I love visiting my allotment where I produce my own vegetables.
